Sadia Chicken Drumsticks | 900g |
Clove of garlic, finely chopped | 1 |
Fresh oregano, roughly chopped | 1 tbsp |
Turmeric powder | 2 tsp |
Olive oil | 2 tbsp |
Salt and pepper to taste | |
Toasted almond slices and lemon wedges to garnish | |
Yogurt | 6 tbsp |
Clove of garlic, minced | 1 |
Fresh mint, finely chopped | 1 tbsp |
Lemon, juice and zest | ½ |
Salt and pepper to taste |
Marinate the Chicken:
In a large bowl, mix the garlic, oregano, turmeric, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Add the Sadia Chicken Drumsticks and coat evenly with the marinade.
Cover with cling film and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Sear the Chicken:
Heat olive oil in a frying pan.
Sear the drumsticks until the skin is browned and crisp. Remove from the pan and repeat in batches if needed.
Bake the Chicken:
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Place the seared drumsticks on a baking tray.
Bake for 15–20 minutes, turning halfway, until the juices run clear.
Prepare the Dip:
In a small bowl, mix yoghurt, garlic, mint, lemon juice, zest, salt, and pepper.
Serve:
Garnish the chicken with toasted almond slices and serve alongside the yoghurt dip and lemon wedges.
