Sadia Chicken Burger Filo Pastry Bites with Mango Chutney and Feta

Ingredients you need
Sadia Breaded Chicken Burger 6
Filo pastry 6 sheets
Butter, melted 50g
Olive oil 1 tbsp
Mushrooms, chopped 200g
Spring onions, sliced (save a few slices for garnish) 4
Feta cheese, crumbled 100g
Black pepper to taste
Mango chutney 8 tsp
Few sprigs of mint for garnish

Cooking directions

  1. Prepare Filo Pastry Cases:

    Preheat the oven to 200°C.

    Cut the filo pastry sheets in half lengthways, then divide each half into thirds.

    Brush each sheet with melted butter and layer them in 3 piles

    Place the pastry layers in 4 small removable-base tart tins.

    Bake the pastry in the preheated oven for 10 minutes or until golden and crispy.

  2. Cook the Chicken Filling:

    Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

    Add the crumbled Sadia Chicken Burgers to the pan and sauté until lightly browned.

    Add the chopped mushrooms, spring onions, and black pepper to the pan, cooking until the mushrooms are tender.

    Remove the pan from heat and crumble the feta cheese into the chicken and vegetable mixture, stirring to combine.

  3. Assemble the Filo Pastry Bites:

    Remove the baked filo pastry cases from the oven and place them on a plate.

    Spoon the chicken, feta, and mushroom mixture into each filo pastry case.

    Top each with 2 tsp of mango chutney.

  4. Garnish and Serve:

    Garnish with a few fresh mint sprigs for added flavor and presentation.

    Serve immediately and enjoy!
